Tips and Trick for using mineral make-up
Foundation:
You’ve heard the term, “less is more”, well, that is true when applying our Luminescence Loose Mineral Foundation.
“Tip”
First start with a soft, but firm foundation brush (we recommend using a brush that has a flat top). When apply loose foundation from a jar, turn jar upside down, so that the loose mineral make-up is sifted through the sifter. Dip the brush into the foundation. Using your jar’s top, tap and swirl the loose foundation into the brush to get an even coating onto the bristles. Turn brush upside down and tap the side to feed the bristles foundation.
Lightly guide brush across the skin in circular motion to distribute the foundation evenly to the skin. Use firmer strokes for blending. This will leave you with a light coverage. Apply more as needed.
“Trick” Your foundation can be used to cover unwanted blemishes without the heavy layering of foundation. In a separate container, add a few drops of water to a small amount of foundation and mix. Apply this to the areas that need more coverage first (before apply all over foundation) and blend well and let dry. Then apply your loose mineral foundation all over.
“Trick” If you have really dry skin and can’t live without your favorite moisturizer, why not tint your moisturizer. After applying your favorite moisturizer to clean skin (as your base), add a few drops of loose mineral foundation to a few drops of your moisturizer, mix and apply.
“Tip”
Customizing your foundation is easy. Sometimes, one shade that works for you in the summer, may be a little too warm for you in the winter. Choosing a lighter /cooler shade may be too light for you. Try lighting up that warm foundation by blending it with a cooler shade with the same undertones. It’s as simple as adding the two shades in a separate jar and shake. Start out with a little at a time and keep adding more to achieve the desired look. This can be done in reverse too. Your winter/cooler shade of foundation can be warmed by adding a warmer shade and mix.
